Dr. Hottie's Reality Checkup

Welcome to my world. Expect very real opinions (laden with sarcastic and off color humor) about the great invention that is reality television. This blog may occasionally stray off topic, but its for the best really.

Yes, I Have Returned

Wow. It's been a long time. I pretty much bypassed most of Dancing With The Stars. Mario is the champion in my heart.

I almost completely skipped over The Amazing Race, most of which I have watched by the way. Erwin and Godwin's elimination inspired me to write and I will be commenting on the final few episodes as well. Then I will have an insanely long hiatus until Idol starts in January. Perhaps I will find something else to write about in the meantime.

Anyhoo...

Tyler and James are my picks for the season and have been from the beginning. That's how it usually goes and they never win. I've decided that in the future I'll have to pretend my favorite team or contestant really is not my favorite because its the only way to reverse the curse. Look at my track record for goodness sakes. Jon Vito & Jill. Colin & Christie. Hayden & Aaron. Eric & Jeremy. These are only a few examples. I have faith however that Tyler and James can break through this. If you can conquer an addiction, you can conquer anything.

I didn't think I'd like the Barbies, but Dustin and Kandice have grown on me. I probably like them more than any other previous all female team. And they can rap! Now Eminem can't take credit for being the only blonde mic master. They only trouble they'll run into they will face in the next episode. The Yield. Dun dun dun. It's good to be on top, but then that makes everyone else very eager to put you on the bottom. That sounded slightly dirty, but you know what I meant.

Rob and Kimberly are just one of those teams that's... there. I don't love them, but I don't dislike them either. I think they're in a good position because no one is looking at them as a threat. The key is to be in the mix, but not be the one with a big ol bullseye on your behind. For them to stay in this they need to be smart. If they can focus on their game then they won't get all mixed up in everyone else trying to take each other out.

I'm not so much a Lyn and Karlyn fan, but it was about time they took charge of their own destiny. I don't think the trash talk was necessary because the Cho brothers are supposedly their friends, but I had no problem with them taking off and finding their own way. They had to. Otherwise they probably would have been eliminated. Only point of advice for them now is that they better watch who they piss off and backstab because the target goes to whichever buck is rustling the bushes the loudest.

*shakes head* I seriously don't know how many reality shows the Cho brothers have watched. If you want to go for the trip and adventure fine. But if you honestly expect to win, you can not play nicey nice the whole way through. If you're looking out for other people more than yourself, they are all gonna pass right by you. Branching off and going your own way and being competitive is NOT unethical. I liked them because they were nice guys, but I can't respect the way they played because you're not playing if you're letting your opponent win. Bottom line.

Look for more next week.
