Dr. Hottie's Reality Checkup

Welcome to my world. Expect very real opinions (laden with sarcastic and off color humor) about the great invention that is reality television. This blog may occasionally stray off topic, but its for the best really.

Caution: Yield Ahead

I've got to admire Dustin and Kandice's competitiveness. They may be dirty pirate hookers, but they know how to race. Sometime though they really have to be paid back for yielding Eric and Danielle. Karma just wouldn't allow anything otherwise.

And thank God for non-eliminations. So Eric and Danielle are marked for elimination. Something tells me they'll be okay. I try to read the foreshadowing that the producers throw in there and if I'm reading it correctly it should work in their favor. I even picked them to win pretty much right after Jon Vito and Jill got booted in the first leg. I just think that not racing together before works in their advantage. You wouldn't think so, but it does.

Danny and Oswald - you're still my boys. Ahh I love those guys. If E&D can't win I hope they do.

Charla and Mirna are fun to watch even if I don't root for them. They eliminated Rob & Amber and they are dearly missed. I don't count Chmirna out at all though. They're tricky devils.

Anything can happen next week. Danny could run off with a hooker named Betty. Kandice could change her name to Carl. You never know.

This Week In Reality TV

I have to apologize. My new work schedule is wretched and that gives me very little time to write my recaps most weeks as I have to tape every show I watch and then proceed to watch them before I can even write anything. Next week is one of those weeks thankfully where I will have some more time.

First, in Amazing Race news. The Guidos are finally out of the Race. They were touted as fan favorites and I know that they were in the first go round, but I never really liked what I saw of them. One hurdle down. Now if Charla and Mirna can just go on their merry way I will be happy with whoever wins. I would prefer it to be Eric & Danielle or Oswald & Danny but I would still be okay otherwise.

I don't have much to say about Dancing With The Stars. A note to any beauty queens or otherwise sup hot chicks who are thinking about coming on the show: you won't last. It doesn't matter how good you are. I liked Shandi, but this year will be just like last year. In the end you'll have one good female (Laila Ali) and three really good guys (Joey Fatone, Apolo Ono and Ian Ziering). Don't know who will win, but I'm betting it will be one of those four.

I must say that American Idol this week was the best week since Top 12. Even Sanjaya did okay which isn't saying much. I doubt Simon's tactics will work though. It doesn't matter if he says Sanjaya blows or if he says he is wonderful - people will still vote for him. The judges didn't give Blake enough credit. They were a little too mean to Phil. And they praised Melinda and Jordin just right.

Haley is doomed. I think. Those short skirts can only carry her so far.
